As senior EVP and CIO of Global Payments, Guido Sacchi’s responsibilities include IT and digital business strategies, worldwide technology infrastructure and operations management, application development and support, information security, customer experience, project portfolio management, platform integration, analytics and artificial intelligence. He is a recognized leader in Information Technology and delivery of business value from IT, with a unique combination of strategic thinking and focus on results.
Prior to joining Global Payments, Guido was a managing director for Slalom Consulting, leading the firm's Digital Commerce practice. Between 2008 and 2010, he served as CEO of Moneta, an innovative online payments company, establishing it as a leader in the alternative payment space. He led the company in building its customer base, revenue streams, service offerings and technology platform. From 2002 to 2008, Guido was the CIO of CompuCredit, an information and technology driven financial services company, where his responsibilities included setting and executing the company’s IT strategies, delivering business value from technology, managing innovation and running the company’s worldwide IT operations. He enabled the business to deliver unprecedented results through the execution of acquisitions, technology architectures and IT solutions.
Guido’s experience includes senior management positions at Deloitte Consulting and PricewaterhouseCoopers, international experience across industries, degrees in engineering from the University of Rome (Italy) and appointments at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
He is a frequent speaker and media contributor on the topics of technology management, payments and financial technologies, leadership, innovation and organizational change. Guido is the previous chairman of the Georgia CIO Leadership Association and served on the Technology Association of Georgia's Education Collaborative (TAG-Ed) board of directors. He was recognized as one of Computerworld’s “Premier 100 IT Leaders” in 2008 and as the 2004 GCLA National CIO of the Year, in addition to receiving multiple awards for excellence in technology management. Guido is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta’s Class of 2008.
He and his wife, Ellen, enjoy living in Atlanta with their two children.
